Open Question: What Gives with IE 7's Feed Detection?

UPDATE: So, some setting on my machine is preventing IE from detecting RSS feeds. I wonder how many other users are having the same problem....

Figuring out what I need to do to get an RSS feed detectable to IE 7 is on my plate next week. That said, could someone please name just one site that has an RSS feed that IE 7 detects?

Note that IE 7's official development blog hasn't even figured out how to make their feeds detectable.

I really like IE 7's RSS browser, but seriously, WTF?

What's wrong with the standard, universally used <link> element?
